Growing Girl!!

Lewis and I had an ultrasound today and Anne Wells is doing great!! Right now, she weighs 5 lbs 10 ounces....this is just an estimate! She is in the 72 percentile and she got an 8 out of 8 on all the measurements. She measured 35 weeks, 1 day, which is 3 days ahead of me, so that is good news! The doctor said that she looks excellent and is doing great! We are so thankful that she is doing so well and we pray that continues!

My blood pressure was still high today, so I have been put on bed rest. We sort of knew this was coming, so I was prepared. The doctor was very serious with me and said that I need to be a "couch potato" and take it very easy!! We are hoping that by doing this, my blood pressure will go down and we can make it to about 38 weeks, before they induce labor. If my blood pressure continues to be high, they may induce earlier. We go back to the doctor on Thursday morning and we will continue to go every Monday and Thursday until she arrives. We will also have another ultrasound next week to check Anne Wells' growth and to make sure she isn't under any stress, due to my high blood pressure. I know that this is best for both of us and we want to keep her "cooking" as long as possible!! So, I will be watching lots of good movies and having some good computer time for the next 3 weeks!! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! We'll keep the updates coming!! Much love to everyone!!

Bed Rest Rocks!!! Enjoy it now because three weeks will fly by! The bad news is you are about to get hooked on so much pointless TV that you won't be able to stop watching so then you will have to record it and get made fun of like I do! The Bailey Bunch is thinking about ya!

Libba, I bet your blood pressure goes down once you get on bed rest-teaching can be stressful and it is AMAZING how your body can function without the stress of teaching. The day I got written out of work for Burns I never had anymore problems with my blood pressure- does this say ANYTHING about our stressful job??? We will say prayers for you, Lewis and Anne Wells!!

I agree with Kasie on the pointless TV that you will get hooked on- my new favorite is "Little Miss Perfect" where the moms make 4 year olds be beauty queens! Enjoy your rest because once Anne Wells enters the world you might not get any rest for a while. We will be thinking about y'all!
