Oh my....Anne Wells is 1/2 a year old today! Lewis and I can't believe how quickly 6 months have flown by and it has been the best 6 months ever! We had her 6 month well check-up this morning and it went very well, other than the shots. Bless her heart....she was screaming so loud and it took her quite a while to calm down. It really broke my heart. She weighs 16. 5 lbs (50th percentile) and is 24 1/2 inches long (10th percentile). Dr. Carter came in and the first thing she said was, "Well she is a little chubby for her height, but that is okay!" So I finally have my chunky baby that I've always wanted! She has only grown 1 inch since her 4 month check-up. :)Anne Wells may look like her daddy, but she is taking after her mama as a short, plump, and happy baby girl!
She has really started moving around in the last few weeks. The minute you lay her on her back, she immediately rolls over to her tummy. She rolls all around her crib and sleeps in the craziest positions. Lewis and I will sometimes get worried because she will literally sleep face down and look so uncomfortable, but I guess if she is sleeping 12 hours(most nights), then she must enjoy being able to sleep on her tummy. We are so thankful that she is a good sleeper. She has started eating fruits and vegetables twice a day and still gets cereal twice a day. Her favorites so far have been sweet potatoes, bananas, and applesauce. We are still working on getting some green vegetables in our diet!:)
Anne Wells has become very aware of the dogs and absolutely loves them! One afternoon I had them inside with us and she just started laughing at both of them and thought they were wonderful! They are both very gentle with her. Hank will come put his nose right up to her nose and will not lick at all. For those of you that know Hank, you know that is amazing for him!! He is quite the licker.
